What’s The Best Way To Send Unaccompanied Luggage To Canada From Korea?

I’m a Canadian living in Korea and would like to send most of my luggage home unaccompanied because I would like to do a bit of backpacking before returning home. What’s the best (or the cheapest) way to send my luggage home? I’ll have two large suitcases each weighing around 40 -50lbs. Also, is there anything extra I need to know if I’d like to send my laptop too?

You may want to look into shipping it with UPS, Fed-Ex or other global package company. UPS and Fed-Ex ship luggage all the time for people who don’t want to deal with the hassle of checking bags.
If you’re going to ship your lap top, make sure that it is wrapped in bubble wrap and then placed into a box w/ packing peanuts. You’ll also want to insure the box incase of loss or damage.

This really depends on your requirements, how much backpacking do you intend to do, if you plan on a few weeks then your cheapest option would probably be to send it via surface shipping (ie transport it on a cargo vessel) air freight is much faster but the cost is much much higher.
