I am picking up a used backpack carrier tomorrow. Its the nylon material kind on a metal frame. I want to clean and sanitize it before I put my baby in it. Any suggestions on the best way to clean it?

Clorox wipes first…over anything you can. After it dries completely, go over it with a baby-safe cleaner, like baby wipes.
Use 1/4 cup of chlorine bleach in 1 gallon of hot water. You’ll need to use a rag (not paper) and that must be something you can ‘throw away’ because the strength of the bleach will shred it. Dip it and wring it out slightly and ‘scrub’ every part of the backpack well, then let it dry thoroughly before you put your baby into it. Do the part where the baby’s mouth may ‘bite or chew’ extra well. DO NOT RINSE and don’t use ANY SOAP or detergent. All you need is bleach, water and SCRUB.
If you can get the fabric off…wash that by hand, but a good method of sanitizing is steaming…using hot steam to kill germies. They make all sorts for clothing and floors and such…otherwise you can use something like Clorox Anywhere…I don’t think that ruins fabrics but does have a germ killing agent. But I think steam cleaning it would be the best. I use my steamer ALL the time.
Most baby backpacks are made of completely washable fabric. Hot soap and water with a scrub brush should do the trick. Then any type of sanitizing wipe to finish it off
Warm soap and water. Scrub it with a brush and then rinse in your bath tub and then sit it somewhere well ventilated to dry
Bleach will eat the nylon even diluted
I’d first set it outside in the sunshine for a bit. Then spray it with any environmentally safe disinfectant. Then hose the heck out of it.
I use the clorox anwhere spary on everything. Its called clorox anywhere. Its is safe to use on baby tools or any thing that needs wiping and cleaning.

Chances are, there’s a tag on it with cleaning instructions though.
You could probably hand-wash in hot water with a small amount of laundry detergent and hang it to dry. Good luck!
you could buy a protable steamer those are great they work and sanitize everything so clean and freash and germ free!
I would just wash it. It doesn’t need to be sanitized but if you really want to you could spray it down with Lysol.
you could spray with lysol or use 1 tbs bleach per 1 gal water solution.
wash it with dellouted bleach/water
wash it in hot water and you could even use a sterilizing liquid
baby wipe, thats what my mom used
