I have a Standard class ticket and I’m worried about my baggage. I read on the eurostar website that I may have to store my luggage in a separate car if everything’s full in my car. How can I protect my luggage? Lock? Can I go early to ensure my stuff has room? HELP!
Do I need to buy a flexi lock? anyone have a link?
How Do You Protect Your Luggage On European Trains-eurostar?

My wife and I travelled on the Eurostar this summer and there was lots of room for baggage. There are racks at both ends of the cars and smaller ones above you. I can’t imagine that you’d end up sitting in another car from you luggage but I suppose it is possible. You can go early but it generally won’t be that much help to you as you clear customs and then you end up sitting in a boarding lounge with everyone else. You end up boarding pretty much all together anyway, at least that’s the way it was on the London to Paris route.
I wouldn’t buy a lock just for the Eurostar but if you need one anyway because you’re staying at hostels or something then sure, go head get a lock.
very good security now – the guards basically take note of whose bag belongs to who and keep an eye on it. There is tons of space in the eurostar especially above seats which can fit huga bags etc. Just lock them to be safe anyway
Try to get to the train a little early and take non-rush hour trains. This way you’ll practically be guaranteed space for your luggage.
