I prefer for the zips on bags to open from front to back so that the people behind you in line do not see the contents of your bag first. With the way zippered handbags are made-so-that-the- attractive side is away from the body, this works for the right side of the body but not the left side of the body. Of course if the bag had double pull zippers then the bag could be worn on either side of the body. (By the way, I’m right-handed and wear my handbag on the left side.) Thanks!

My purse goes on my right side and I’m right handed.
It’s mostly because my phone is in an outside pocket, and I like to have it in front rather than in back.
