When students and faculty members at Sam Houston High School were deciding what to do for a Super Bowl service project, they wanted to pick something unique but still lasting. The school will collect luggage for local foster children, many of whom have to carry their belongings in trash bags when they’re moved to a new placement.

Dedria, 17, was homeless for several years before landing at Casa Pacifica in Camarillo, a facility that serves abused, neglected and severely emotionally disturbed children.
