I’m going to ATL but I have to stop at DCA in Washington and then catch a connecting flight at IAD. Crappy travel plans, but what do I do? Do I have to worry about paying for my luggage?

August 25th, 2009 Luggage Boy I’m flying internationally to Paris in June, connecting via London Heathrow. I’ve heard all about the luggage fiasco there and sadly, I have to move from T4 to T5 to catch my connecting flight to Paris. Would the situation be better by June? What are the chances of my luggage getting lost and how long would it take to recover lost luggage? It’s my 1st time flying long-haul on my own. Thanks!
