Its just a standard thermometer. It broke inside a circular container, so I am not sure if liquid leaked out of the container. Is it possible for mercury to spill out of the thermometer through the pore, and onto my backpack. How should I throw it away? What dangers are associated with broken thermometers?

November 24th, 2009 Luggage Boy I'm from the United States and I think I want to take a semester off from school to backpack through Ireland. Where are the cheapest places I can stay? How large of a pack should I bring? How should I carry my money? I also read that I can stay for three months with just a passport, if I wanted to stay longer and possibly work there a little do I have to get a Visa, and if so how can I get one? Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.
