I’m thinking of making homemade luggage tags with wedding scrapbook paper & embellishments. Its a destination wedding & since I need to provide so many details, I’m sending a letter on nice stationary as well. My fiance thinks the tags & letters are nicely done & its saving lots of $, but wondering if people with think its cheap?

A good suitcase is one that can carry a heavy load and still be easy to carry. It’s a suitcase that can take a beating when an airplane goes through turbulence, or a baggage handler throws it onto a conveyor belt. It’s a suitcase that stands out from other suitcases, so you don’t have any trouble finding it at baggage claim. A Samsonite suitcase is a good suitcase.
You’ll find the best deals on Samsonite luggage when you buy a luggage set. This Samsonite 5-Piece Luggage Travel Set (sold for $142) comes with a 26″ and a 22″ upright suitcase, a duffel, tote, and toiletry kit. Because airlines charge by the bag these days, you won’t want to use all of these at once, but for a short trip, you might want just the toiletry kit and smaller upright, and maybe for a longer trip, you could check the larger upright and carry on the duffel or tote bag. Each of the upright suitcases comes with in-line skate wheels and locking telescoping handles that make these Samsonite bags easy to transport through an airport terminal. The red bags will be easy to spot on the baggage claim carousel, too.
If you prefer standard black luggage, check out the Samsonite Lightweight 4-Piece Spinner Luggage Set (starting at $251). The lightweight steel frames on these bags make the luggage durable without adding extra weight — that’s important when airlines will charge you a fortune for overweight bags. The upright spinners in this set are 31″ and 21″, and each have four wheels and a locking telescoping handle for easy pulling and steering. The tote in this set is also on wheels, so if you don’t like to carry your carry-ons, this is a good luggage set for you.
If you decide to go with a black Samsonite suitcase, make sure you get some colorful luggage tags ($8.95 for a set of 2) to help the bag stick out on the carousel.
A good all purpose bag is the Samsonite Cordoba 29″ Expandable Luggage Upright (starting at $161). This bag comes with a tri-fold removable suiter and removable toiletry kit for increased packing organization, and expands an extra two inches for when you need extra space. If you can’t fit a couple weeks’ worth of travel necessities in here, you’re not packing very well.
We also like the Samsonite Silhouette 10 Hardside 26″ Spinner (sold for $221). This attractive hard shell suitcase is Samsonite’s strongest and lightest to date. It’s a bag that can take a beating, and it also comes with a tri-fold removable suiter and toiletry kit to keep you organized.
Samsonite makes the best luggage there is, and you can find great deals on Samsonite bags of all sizes. Heading into wedding season, keep in mind that Samsonite luggage makes a great wedding gift. Everyone can use a good luggage set, and these will last a long time.
