Bringing Alcohol On A Plane In Checked Luggage?

Im going to Florida this Friday and want to bring a rather large bottle of captain morgan along with me. Are you allowed to bring glass bottles on a plane packed away safely in your luggage? I would buy it there but its probably not possible considering where we’ll be located. If it helps the air line is Air Tran, couldn’t find anything about large bottle restrictions but just want to double check with anyone who may know or have some experience. Cheers! Thanks a lot.

I know that the limit in hand luggage is 100ml but can I take larger quantities in luggage that is going in the hold?

What Food Can I Take On An International Plane? Checked Luggage?

I am going to Ireland in a week for 17 days, and unlike the rest of the students going, my parents didn’t pay for the trip…. I did! So I am short on cash! I was wondering if taking canned goods and maybe a box of mac and cheese and a pack of raman noodles (just a few not huge amounts of anything) and putting it in my checked luggage was ok? I really don’t want to spend a lot of money on food over there, so are those things ok to bring?

Checked at the Gate, a Carry-On Is Vulnerable

Now that it can cost money to check a bag, more people are carrying on things they used to check. But sometimes there’s no room, and important items must move into the belly of the plane.
