Can You Take Free Weight Dumbbells On A Carry-on Luggage?

Luggage Boy I’m traveling back to school this week, and want to take one of my dumbbells (5 lb) from home. I would just order it at school, but the shipping on those things are ridiculous.
Is this allowed by TSA in the carry on luggage? Has anyone tried it? I looked over all the airline information online, but it doesn’t say anything about it being prohibited.

Luggage Boy Hi,
I am about to travel to the States to visit a few relatives there and my parents wanted to send a special brand of tobacco and maybe a few cigars with me as a gift for my uncle but I am a minor so we wanted to know would I get into trouble if I’d arrive with a few tobacco products under the allowed limit of course in my luggage (not hand baggage) to USA?
