I’m traveling back to school this week, and want to take one of my dumbbells (5 lb) from home. I would just order it at school, but the shipping on those things are ridiculous.
Is this allowed by TSA in the carry on luggage? Has anyone tried it? I looked over all the airline information online, but it doesn’t say anything about it being prohibited.

January 17th, 2010 Luggage Boy While watcing the Dog Whisperer, I’ve noticed Cesar Millan using a doggie backpack during shorter walks weighed down with bottles of water to intensify the energy used by the dog. I’m not sure how many bottles of water would be enough to give my dog a good workout during walks. He’s about a year and half old, weighs about 52 pounds, and is a Lab-Pitbull mix.

Do Airlines In Asia Regularly Check The Weight Of Passengers Cabin Luggage?
December 15th, 2009 Luggage Boy I have found a bag that fits within the standard cabin luggage dimensions, but i know if i fill it, it will exceed the weight for economy passengers which is generally around 7kgs. I am interested to know from people who travel regularly if they have ever had an airline actually check the size or weight of the carry on cabin luggage bag.
